How does personal certification work?

In order to obtain personal certification from the EWIVS, the applicant must provide evidence of their skills, professional experience and qualifications. This requires meaningful evidence, certificates and attestations. These documents are checked by the EWIVS certification body in accordance with the applicable certification scheme. If the requirements are met, the applicant is admitted to the examination, which is conducted in written, oral or practical form.

Requirements

The following conditions must be met for admission to certification by the EWIVS:

  • Completed training in the relevant field
  • Several years of professional experience in this field
  • Training as an expert with a recognized provider
  • Passing the certification exam
  • Several years of professional experience as an expert or appraiser

An application with proof of personal requirements, professional qualifications and professional experience must be submitted.
