Recognized personal certification with EWIVS<\/h1>\n

Anyone with the required knowledge and experience can apply to a certification body for certification. As a rule, however, a degree in a relevant subject, a master\u2019s degree and practical professional experience in the relevant field are required. <\/p>\n

An expert who wishes to participate in a certification process must prove that he has above-average technical and specialist knowledge and is able to prepare expert reports both in writing and orally. They must also be able to demonstrate personal suitability. The content, examination and scope of a certification process depend on the respective subject and specialist area.<\/p>\n

Participants have the opportunity to acquire an additional qualification as part of a certification process. In addition, the necessary technical and specialist knowledge can be acquired through educational institutions and personal certification can be obtained in the recognition procedure. <\/p>\n

      Why a personal certification scheme?<\/h3>\n

      The Personnel Certification Regulations were developed to describe measures for certifying a person so that the certified person meets the requirements of the certification program. This process of assessment, monitoring and periodic reassessment of competence creates confidence in the respective certification programs and expert activities. <\/p>\n

      Proof of the expert\u2019s qualification on the basis of a European standard cannot be compared with a public appointment. For many experts, the development of personal skills and adaptation to international and national standards are basic requirements for the successful implementation of their tasks. <\/p>\n

      Performance of the expert:<\/h4>\n

      The provision of services relates to the expert himself: He provides a service and the other person judges whether it meets expectations and whether he can form his own opinion (e.g. legal assessment) from it. By successfully participating in a certification procedure, the expert demonstrates his high level of responsibility and sets high standards for the acceptance and performance of his work. <\/p>\n

      In order to be able to successfully participate in a certification procedure, it is essential that special expertise is demonstrated in both the written and oral examination procedure. A public appointment facilitates the certification procedure, but a complete exemption from the examination procedure is not possible. <\/p>\n

      With regard to self-promotion, the expert must observe competition law \u2013 in particular Sections 1 and 3 of the Unfair Competition Act (UWG). Statements should provide objective information about the services offered and should not be intrusive or sensational. <\/p>\n

      It is important that the personally certified expert strictly separates his activities from his other professional and commercial activities. In advertisements, letterheads, business cards, websites and all other advertising statements that refer to his other professional and commercial activities, he may not refer to his certification as an expert in parallel. <\/p>\n
